چکیده
In order to investigate the safety and stability of loess high slope under dynamic ramming, MatDem software was used simulate process heavy rammer compacting spot which 11 m away from toe slope. The applied with different energies 10000 kN·m, 8000 6000 kN·m. this way, action tamping can be determined. results show that presented circular landslide damage by compaction. Under same ramming times, decrease energy, degree gradually reduced. According displacement value monitoring points, large horizontal vertical points in were obtained. When energy kN·m maximum displacements 15.45 10.72 m, 17.43 11.91 m. soil at bottom would produce slight vibration. Considering actual project, when minimum safe distance recommended 25 20 KN·m, remained stable as a whole, suggested should not less than A collapse compaction determined, provided strong guidance for construction

Rock Slope Stability Analysis Using Discrete Element Method
Rock slope stability depends very much on the strength features of the rock and the geometrical and strength characteristics of the discontinuities (e.g., roughness, wall strength and persistence). Since a rock mass is not a continuum, its behavior is dominated by such discontinuities as faults, joints and bedding planes. Also, Rock slope instability is a major hazard for human activities and o...

متن کاملDiscrete Element Modeling of Dynamic Compaction with Different Tamping Condition
Dynamic Compaction (DC) is a common deep compaction method that is usually used for densification of coarse-grained soils. Although traditional continuum-based models such as the Finite Element Method can be successfully applied for assessment of stress distributions or deformations induced by DC, they are typically not adequate for capturing the grain scale mechanisms of soil behavior under im...
متن کاملA Proposed Modeling Method in Finite Element Slope Stability Analysis
Limit-equilibrium method (LEM) and finite element method (FEM) with strength reduction method (SRM) techniques are the most widely used analysis tools in slope stability assessment. Recently, researchers have reported that both factor of safety (FOS) values and failure surfaces obtained from LEM and FEM are generally in good agreement, except in some particular cases. In this paper, the FOS and...
متن کاملExperiment Study of Loess-filled Embankment under Dynamic Compaction
To investigate the dynamic compaction mechanism of loess-filled embankment, a computational model of unit volume compaction effort was proposed as compared with the compaction test. The energy level of dynamic compaction used in actual projects was also considered. The differences between the compaction test and the unit volume compaction effort in the actual projects were studied. And also, th...
